Afito Chiu is the co-founder and a facilitator of the Powerful Girl Project, which is a program designed to teach young women life skills such as empowerment, self-love, confidence, and body image. She moved from West Africa as a teen girl and faced struggles in finding her identity, learning about a new culture, language, and adjusting to life in a new country. She is a youth coach certified through the Professional Woman Network. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from Robert Morris University and has worked as an advisor for college students. Afito also volunteers with a nonprofit organization in assisting immigrant families with acquiring job skills, learning life skills, and getting acclimated to daily life in the USA.
