Areas of Expertise:
Hegenberger made her life long dream of learning to fly come true at the age of 44 after being encouraged by her daughter, Katie, then a student pilot. Kathy quickly accumulated commercial, instrument and multi-engine ratings as well as flight instructor's certificate for instruments both multi and single engine land. She is an ATP and also holds a dispatcher's certificate.
You can find Kathy and her husband Rick in the backcountry strips of Montana and Idaho in their L-19 Birddog or flying cross country in their Cirrrus SR 22 Turbo with their dog Baron. Flight time is spent between Charleston, SC and Bozeman, Montana, visiting grandchildren in Cincinnati (Kathy's hometown), Los Angeles, as well as attractions along the way such as good golf courses, trout streams or world famous cinnamon buns!
If you see a woman getting out of a Cirrus with a little white dog and a set of golf clubs, say hello.
