Tanisha B. Jones is principal and founder of The Legacy Institute of Higher Learning, LLC, which is an organization dedicated to professional, personal, and spiritual development.

Ms. Jones’ thirteen years of instruction supports her educational and corporate expertise in leadership, staff training, coaching, and consulting knowledge. She is pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix with an anticipated graduation date of April 2010. She acquired a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Administration and Supervision from the University of West Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Journalism from the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg.

Ms. Jones has served as an elementary school literacy coach, middle grades educator, high school instructor, Student Support Team Intervention Specialist, and professional development trainer. She has worked with gifted, general education, and special education learners for enhanced academic achievement in reading, writing, and public speaking. Her commitment to character development is also exemplified in her mentoring relationships and workshop facilitations.

Ms. Jones is the author of Cerebral Serenity: A Journey to Inner Peace, which will be published in November of 2010. The practical and empowering publication promotes mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Her passion is inspiring and equipping adults and adolescents to transition from being victims to victors in their personal and professional lives. She has made a significant impact on the lives of her many readers, students, protégées, and seminar participants.

As an active member of the Professional Woman Network (PWN), Ms. Jones specializes in Women’s Issues and Saving Our Youth. Additional seminars and workshop topics include culturally responsiveness, multiculturalism and diversity, professionalism, emotional health, leadership, self-esteem, relationship building, spirituality, and goal-setting.

Ms. Jones is available for workshop facilitation, keynote addresses, speaking engagements, and organizational coaching within the United States and internationally for schools, corporations, churches, organizations, institutions, and small businesses.

Additional organizational memberships include Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The National Council of Teachers of English, and Toastmasters International.
